Job Description

Project Manager launching energy-efficiency client programs across the United States. Leading cross-functional startups, stakeholder governance, risk mitigation, and on-time, on-budget delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional teams, develop delivery plans, and coordinate tasks with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure startup launches meet client expectations and financial and operational goals
  • Foster collaboration, identify risks, manage mitigation, and provide clear direction
  • Lead startup governance, communication, and stakeholder meetings, including decisions, action plans, status reporting, and issue resolution
  • Guide startup teams and clients through challenges to successful outcomes
  • Use project management processes and tools to deliver launches on time and on budget
  • Coordinate with Business Development, Opportunity Architects, and Proposal Generation teams on solution development, startup timelines, and Gantt chart generation
  • Manage client expectations and escalate when additional support is required
  • Prepare, run, and lead internal and external startup meetings
  • Prepare department startup leads for meetings and identify gaps and risks
  • Manage startups using structured processes and tools such as Smartsheet
  • Provide stakeholder status updates and manage startup cadence
  • Develop high-level delivery plans, identify tasks, manage dates, and report upcoming tasks
  • Coordinate across departments to deliver program launches on time and on budget
  • Support program remediation and improvement efforts
  • Provide interim program management across the enterprise as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business, engineering, or another discipline
  • At least three years of management/supervisory experience, including hiring, coaching, performance reviews, and mentoring
  • Proficiency in financial management
  • Five or more years of experience in the energy efficiency industry
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to handle varied work in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented, organized, self-starting, and able to prioritize workload
  • Ability to identify and resolve project issues with clients, partners, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Project management software experience
  • Strong data entry skills in tracking systems/databases
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data and solve practical problems
  • Knowledge of mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios
  • Experience in lighting, HVAC, and other technologies installed in residential, commercial, and industrial applications — preferred
  • Valid driver's license
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
