Job Description
Remote regional fundraising director managing Ducks Unlimited events, volunteers, chapters, and donors across Central Florida. Coordinating fundraising growth with Florida’s team and extensive regional travel.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all facets of event fundraising within the Central Florida region
- Recruit and train volunteers
- Manage volunteer efforts supporting Ducks Unlimited fundraising events
- Foster regional growth, emphasizing new chapter development
- Drive internal growth within existing committees
- Identify and develop non-traditional fundraising opportunities
- Identify and manage major donors
- Coordinate and collaborate with the Florida fundraising team and volunteers
- Travel extensively by automobile throughout the region
Requirements:
- BA or BS from an accredited institution is required
- Volunteer experience with non-profit organizations will benefit candidates
- Volunteer experience with Ducks Unlimited is desired
- Aptitude for building and managing relationships with a diverse group of volunteers
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with a personal computer
- Basic skills in MS Office applications
- Working familiarity with the Internet
- Ability to develop computer skills specific to Ducks Unlimited Inc.’s standardized information systems
- Self-motivated and eager to accept challenging goals
- Willingness to work hours extending well outside the typical workday and workweek throughout the year
- Willingness to undertake extensive auto travel throughout the region
