Job Description
Regional Sales Manager managing sales for Diamond V's ruminant and dairy business in the East Coast. Conducting customer evaluations, market research, and remote sales while traveling extensively.
Responsibilities:
- Help identify potential customers and handle existing customer relationships
- Conduct market research and pricing, sales and merchandising activities
- Monitor customer and competitor activity and industry trends
- Protect, grow and diversify the relationship with targeted customers
- Support business growth by disseminating favorable information about the organization and its products and services
- Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff
- Conduct face-to-face and remote sales with new and existing customers
- Assist in evaluating customer needs and suggest appropriate products, services, and solutions
- Travel up to 80% throughout the assigned East Coast territory
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent years of experience
- Minimum of two years of related work experience in sales, business development or related field
- Experience with technical sales, able to provide technical support to dairies, nutritionists, and veterinarians
- Experience in the dairy industry, feed or ruminant nutrition
- Able and willing to travel up to 80%
- Valid driver’s license in good standing
- Minimum of five years of sales experience preferred
- Sales experience in animal nutrition, feed, animal health, additives and supplements preferred
