Job Description

Regional Sales Manager managing sales for Diamond V's ruminant and dairy business in the East Coast. Conducting customer evaluations, market research, and remote sales while traveling extensively.

Responsibilities:

  • Help identify potential customers and handle existing customer relationships
  • Conduct market research and pricing, sales and merchandising activities
  • Monitor customer and competitor activity and industry trends
  • Protect, grow and diversify the relationship with targeted customers
  • Support business growth by disseminating favorable information about the organization and its products and services
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff
  • Conduct face-to-face and remote sales with new and existing customers
  • Assist in evaluating customer needs and suggest appropriate products, services, and solutions
  • Travel up to 80% throughout the assigned East Coast territory

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent years of experience
  • Minimum of two years of related work experience in sales, business development or related field
  • Experience with technical sales, able to provide technical support to dairies, nutritionists, and veterinarians
  • Experience in the dairy industry, feed or ruminant nutrition
  • Able and willing to travel up to 80%
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing
  • Minimum of five years of sales experience preferred
  • Sales experience in animal nutrition, feed, animal health, additives and supplements preferred
