Job Description
Research Team Manager overseeing a team of Researchers specializing in genetic genealogy research at Legacy Tree. Leading team productivity, training, and implementing company policies.
Responsibilities:
- supervise a team of Researchers in genetic genealogy research
- oversee productivity and workload of team members
- manage DNA Dispatch queue and assign research projects
- conduct Initial Reviews on new projects
- facilitate collaborations between team members
- track capacity metrics to determine team needs
- participate in hiring and training processes for new team members
- develop and implement training plans for team members
- conduct team meetings and annual/quarterly reviews
- oversee team trainings and policy drafts
Requirements:
- passionate about people management
- emotionally intelligent, flexible, and resilient
- strong leadership skills
- excellent communication and people skills
- solution-oriented with creative problem-solving
- highly organized with multitasking experience
- experience using DNA test results for genetic genealogy research
- familiar with resources and methodologies of genetic genealogy research
- at least three years of professional genealogical research experience
- experience in people management or leadership is preferred
