Job Description

Property Risk Engineer conducting technology-driven HPR surveys for commercial properties. Assessing fire protection, loss expectancy, and mitigation strategies while advising clients on property risks.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field inspections and surveys for highly protected risk (HPR) properties
  • Assess fire protection systems, loss expectancy, and other risk factors
  • Evaluate and report on general property conditions
  • Use proprietary technology to gather field data and complete risk surveys
  • Collaborate directly with commercial clients to explain risks and help manage insurance premiums
  • Provide recommendations for improving property risk profiles and risk mitigation strategies
  • Manage an independent schedule while contributing to a remote team environment
  • Stay current with industry trends and standards in risk management and property engineering

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience in property risk management, specifically in highly protected risk (HPR) surveys or similar roles
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field
  • Experience in fire protection systems and risk mitigation strategies highly preferred
  • Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) or Professional Engineer (PE) certification is a plus but not required
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to provide actionable risk-reduction recommendations
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments
  • Willingness to travel for on-site inspections as needed
