Job Description
Medicare broker sales lead executing HealthSpring’s US sales strategy across agencies, contracted agents, and FMO partners. Driving partner growth through training, presentations, relationship management, and targeted sales initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Execute the HealthSpring Medicare broker sales strategy across local agencies, directly contracted agents, and FMO partners
- Manage relationships with broker and agency leadership
- Provide market insights, sales data, product education, and operational updates
- Drive growth through targeted sales strategies, agency development, recruiting support, and community engagement
- Manage a defined territory
- Support sales events and presentations
- Track campaign performance
- Partner with Sales Operations
- Ensure compliance with marketing and broker engagement requirements
- Conduct partner training and business reviews
- Develop sales tools and communications for distribution partners
- Increase broker engagement, brand awareness, and sales growth
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree and 4 years health insurance sales experience OR Master Degree with 2 years health insurance sales experience OR 8 years health insurance sales experience
- Minimum 2 years of health insurance sales experience through the stated alternatives
- Experience managing broker and/or field sales staff
- Experience meeting and/or exceeding sales goals
- Knowledge of the health insurance industry, producer community, and Consumer Markets products
- Marketing skills
- Consultative skills
- Training skills
- Interviewing and selection skills
- Verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal skills, relationship building, presentation development and facilitation, and interviewing
- Knowledge and skills with PC applications such as Microsoft Office and databases
- Active department of insurance license from the state of residence or reciprocity
- Medicare product experience preferred, including Medicare Advantage, Medicare Prescription Drug Plan (PDP), and Medicare Supplement products
- Adherence to CMS Medicare Marketing Guidelines and procedures preferred
- Customer features, benefits, and Medicare & Medicaid knowledge preferred
