Job Description

Senior Analyst supporting CVS Health’s pharmacy benefit management applications with Java, Angular, APIs, and cloud platforms. Troubleshooting production issues, implementing fixes, and improving system reliability.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide production support for critical business applications
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and production incidents
  • Investigate and resolve incidents with engineering, product, QA, and business stakeholders
  • Perform root cause analysis
  • Implement code fixes and application enhancements
  • Support enterprise applications built on Java, Angular, APIs, and cloud platforms
  • Ensure system reliability and performance for the PBM business
  • Contribute to application support, system enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Analyze application logs, monitoring dashboards, and system alerts to diagnose production issues
  • Participate in incident management, problem management, and change management processes

Requirements:

  • 5–8 years of experience in software development, application support, or production support environments
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices-based applications
  • Experience developing and supporting front-end applications using Angular, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Experience troubleshooting and supporting enterprise applications in Azure, GCP, or AWS cloud environments
  • Strong understanding of SQL and database technologies such as Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL
  • Experience analyzing application logs, monitoring dashboards, and system alerts
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, source control systems, and DevOps practices
  • Understanding of distributed systems, API integrations, and application performance troubleshooting
  • Experience with incident management, problem management, and change management processes
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, customer-focused environment
  • Preferred: experience supporting healthcare, PBM, or other highly regulated environments
  • Preferred: knowledge of EDI transactions, file transfer processes, and system integrations
  • Preferred: experience with Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Grafana, or similar monitoring and observability tools
  • Preferred: familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Preferred: experience within Agile development teams
  • Preferred: knowledge of AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code
  • Preferred: understanding of security, compliance, and data privacy best practices
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education, professional training, and relevant work experience will be considered
