Job Description
Senior Analyst supporting CVS Health’s pharmacy benefit management applications with Java, Angular, APIs, and cloud platforms. Troubleshooting production issues, implementing fixes, and improving system reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Provide production support for critical business applications
- Troubleshoot technical issues and production incidents
- Investigate and resolve incidents with engineering, product, QA, and business stakeholders
- Perform root cause analysis
- Implement code fixes and application enhancements
- Support enterprise applications built on Java, Angular, APIs, and cloud platforms
- Ensure system reliability and performance for the PBM business
- Contribute to application support, system enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Analyze application logs, monitoring dashboards, and system alerts to diagnose production issues
- Participate in incident management, problem management, and change management processes
Requirements:
- 5–8 years of experience in software development, application support, or production support environments
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices-based applications
- Experience developing and supporting front-end applications using Angular, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
- Experience troubleshooting and supporting enterprise applications in Azure, GCP, or AWS cloud environments
- Strong understanding of SQL and database technologies such as Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL
- Experience analyzing application logs, monitoring dashboards, and system alerts
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, source control systems, and DevOps practices
- Understanding of distributed systems, API integrations, and application performance troubleshooting
- Experience with incident management, problem management, and change management processes
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, customer-focused environment
- Preferred: experience supporting healthcare, PBM, or other highly regulated environments
- Preferred: knowledge of EDI transactions, file transfer processes, and system integrations
- Preferred: experience with Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Grafana, or similar monitoring and observability tools
- Preferred: familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
- Preferred: experience within Agile development teams
- Preferred: knowledge of AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code
- Preferred: understanding of security, compliance, and data privacy best practices
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Equivalent combination of education, professional training, and relevant work experience will be considered
