Job Description
Alcon field engineer installing and troubleshooting connected ophthalmic equipment across Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee. Supporting customer connectivity, cybersecurity, remote monitoring, and digital service adoption.
Responsibilities:
- Install and configure connected ophthalmic equipment and digital applications
- Support network integration, cloud connectivity, and remote monitoring capabilities
- Partner with customer IT departments to ensure device connectivity and cybersecurity compliance
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues
- Train customers and field teams on digital workflows and connected technologies
- Support product launches, upgrades, software updates, and digital transformation initiatives
- Collaborate with Field Service Engineers, sales teams, and service leadership to improve equipment uptime and customer satisfaction
- Drive adoption of Alcon digital solutions and connectivity programs
- Serve as the technical expert for connected equipment and digital service solutions
- Install, configure, integrate, and troubleshoot network-connected ophthalmic devices
- Partner with customers to ensure secure connectivity, remote support capability, and optimal system performance
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent years of directly related experience
- 2 years of relevant experience
- Ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
- Territory coverage: Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee, with other locations as business needs require
- Ideal candidate location: Knoxville, Chattanooga, or Nashville, Tennessee; Birmingham, Alabama; or Atlanta, Georgia
