Job Description

BMO Investment Operations associate supporting investment products through transaction processing, controls, reporting, and stakeholder service. Remote role based in Ontario.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and service for BMO’s Investment Operations business stakeholders and customers
  • Execute and deliver investment product and service processes in adherence with financial and regulatory controls and operational guidelines
  • Gather and format data into regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards
  • Support change management execution and sustainment activities
  • Serve as a problem-solving resource for more junior staff
  • Execute service requests, transactions, queries, and other routine tasks within SLAs
  • Process transactions, activities, and services accurately and promptly in response to stakeholder requests
  • Respond to internal and external stakeholder questions and requests
  • Follow documented policies and procedures to meet SLAs
  • Check and reconcile information and documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Analyze data and information to provide insights and recommendations
  • Identify, analyze, resolve, or escalate issues and problems
  • Communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships
  • Maintain understanding of regulatory requirements and operational risks
  • Collaborate on development and implementation of new processes and systems and improvements to existing ones
  • Support development of tools and delivery of training
  • Complete complex and diverse tasks, including escalations from other employees
  • Apply BMO’s Risk Management Framework and make risk-informed decisions aligned with business strategy and applicable policies, laws, and regulations
  • Perform other broader work or accountabilities as assigned

Requirements:

  • Typically 2–3 years of relevant experience
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field of study desirable, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge and experience using relevant systems and technology – Good
  • Knowledge and understanding of the business unit’s key products and services, processes and controls – Good
  • Knowledge of the risk and regulatory requirements of the business – Good
