Job Description
Senior Business Analyst guiding AI and digital transformations for phData, a data and AI consultancy. Translating enterprise challenges into measurable technical solutions and business outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Lead interviews and workshops with executives, IT, and business stakeholders to uncover root-cause problems and define project vision, scope, and success metrics
- Align solutions with enterprise business strategy and measurable business outcomes
- Map current-state and future-state value streams and business processes
- Identify bottlenecks and automation or AI opportunities
- Quantify benefits such as cycle time, error reduction, capacity, and CSAT
- Elicit, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, decision logic, and user journeys
- Define data requirements, model behavior, guardrails, human-in-the-loop interactions, performance, explainability, auditability, and SLAs
- Support proofs of concept and pilots through test design, feedback loops, training, SOP updates, and communications
- Partner with architects and developers and oversee User Acceptance Testing
- Own the quality and readiness of business-analysis deliverables and coach project team members
- Drive alignment between business objectives, implementation, and success metrics
- Use Generative AI tools such as Claude, Glean, and agents to accelerate analysis, documentation, and solution design
- Establish, grow, and maintain strong customer relationships as a trusted advisor
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience in business analysis or product development in the data and analytics industry
- 4+ years of experience in a client-facing consulting environment
- Ability to facilitate interviews and workshops across multiple domains and organizational levels
- Ability to translate ambiguous needs into structured requirements and user stories
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills for explaining complex topics to non-technical stakeholders
- Expertise in Agile life cycles and tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, and Visio or similar
- Hands-on experience leveraging AI to accelerate business-analysis activities in client delivery
- Understanding of adoption and change-management approaches
- Familiarity with industry-standard strategy frameworks
- Comfort with ambiguity and curiosity about underlying business needs
- Ability to coach and mentor others and contribute to reusable business-analysis artifacts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
