Job Description
Senior Business Systems Analyst leading requirements, process improvement, and solution alignment. Supporting Peraton’s national security and enterprise IT missions through digital transformation.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the elicitation, documentation, and analysis of complex business, functional, and system requirements
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops, interviews, and cross-functional meetings to define business needs and priorities
- Conduct detailed gap, impact, and process analyses to inform solution design
- Translate requirements into user stories, process flows, wireframes, and decision models supporting development and implementation
- Collaborate with product owners, project managers, developers, and QA teams throughout the project lifecycle
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies, proposing enhancements, and developing process documentation
- Support organizational change management by defining communication plans, user training needs, and success metrics
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to business analysis standards and best practices
Requirements:
- 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD
- Must be a US Citizen with a Public Trust
- Proven success leading complex initiatives from discovery through delivery
- Deep understanding of business analysis frameworks, methodologies, and tools
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey technical and business concepts to diverse audiences
- Strong documentation skills, including experience writing BRDs, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria
- Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without authority
- Ability to mentor junior team members and contribute to best practices
