Job Description
Senior Business Analyst driving UiPath and LLM-enabled automation for federal agencies at Groundswell. Translating stakeholder needs into scalable RPA requirements, designs, and testing.
Responsibilities:
- Elicit requirements through document analysis, workshops, surveys, process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task/workflow analysis
- Liaise between product owners, technology teams, and support teams throughout requirements gathering and analysis
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and SMEs to refine requirements
- Develop and maintain Process Design Documents (PDDs) covering workflows, business rules, decision points, and exception handling
- Partner with UiPath developers to validate Solution Design Documents (SDDs) against PDDs and ensure traceability
- Identify opportunities for agentic automation using UiPath bots and LLMs with governance, escalation, and remediation
- Design and document LLM-enabled user journeys that extend UiPath capabilities
- Produce comprehensive, testable, and traceable business, functional, data, software, and use-case requirements
- Analyze requirements, document processes, and perform quality assurance/user acceptance testing
- Partner with stakeholders to resolve unclear or conflicting requirements
- Help the project manager maintain the product backlog and continuous workflow
- Travel approximately 5% for DMV-area candidates or up to 20% for non-local candidates
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 2 years supporting UiPath implementation or RPA projects
- Experience with Software Development Lifecycle methodologies, deliverables, and controls
- Strong understanding of UiPath components: Studio, Orchestrator, Queues, attended/unattended bots
- Demonstrated experience leading requirements gathering sessions, analyzing business flows, and documenting user needs
- Technology consulting experience, including defining requirements, leading client meetings, facilitating UAT, and conducting training
- Experience with Jira
- Ability to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users
- Strong written and verbal communication skills that translate into understandable requirements baselines
- Experience writing Process Design Documents (PDDs) and validating Solution Design Documents (SDDs) with developers
- Customer service, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills
- Must be a U.S. Citizen per contract requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal Secret security clearance; active Secret clearance receives priority consideration
- UiPath Business Analyst Certification or UiPath Automation Business Analyst training preferred
- Experience with process mining tools preferred
- Familiarity with API integrations, workflow tools, or digital transformation initiatives preferred
- Experience in enterprise-level RPA programs with governance, scaling, and COE structures preferred
- Understanding of financial management aspects, particularly in a federal environment, preferred
