Job Description
Senior Business Systems Analyst improving Blue Cross NC healthcare insurance systems. Leading requirements, testing, production support, and complex technology initiatives for health insurance operations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced technical knowledge and support for systems, applications, and procedural issues
- Review, analyze, and develop solutions and business processes for business systems
- Identify and quantify business impacts of proposed solutions
- Resolve large, complex production system problems
- Provide systems analysis expertise and assess business implications of technology
- Coordinate user support for ad hoc questions, inquiries, and service requests
- Ensure efficiency of reporting and data tools
- Coordinate system support processes with IT and resolve production support issues
- Document, track, and report system support activities
- Elicit and document business requirements and prepare functional specifications
- Act as Business Lead/Coordinator on large, complex projects and initiatives
- Facilitate project intake, scheduling, implementation, post-implementation support, and technical specification review
- Serve as point of contact for business testing and influence testing strategy
- Analyze and verify results; provide impact assessments and recommendations
- Train and coach others on testing protocols, execution, and test plan creation
- Assist IT with hardware and software upgrades, security changes, and architectural enhancements
- Configure and maintain critical system tables and data elements
- Analyze, develop, and implement configuration changes to improve system performance and user efficiency
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required), or 7+ years of experience in lieu of degree
- 5+ years of experience in related field
- Must not require employment authorization sponsorship
- Knowledge of Genesys application preferred
- Experience supporting complex enterprise systems in a healthcare or health insurance environment
- Ability to translate business needs into functional requirements, process flows, and technical solutions
- Experience with production support, system configuration, testing, and implementation activities
