Job Description
Senior Manager of Development supporting fundraising operations and donor relationships for Reach Out and Read in the Northeast. Manage a major gifts portfolio while ensuring CRM integrity and operational support.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of approximately 30-50 major gift prospects and donors
- Serve as the primary steward of Salesforce for the Northeast team
- Assist with grant management, events, book donation coordination, and other development priorities
- Support the Regional Director in implementing the annual development strategy
- Create donor-facing materials as needed
Requirements:
- Minimum of five years of experience in nonprofit development
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Experience managing donor portfolios and conducting donor stewardship activities
- Proficiency in Salesforce or a comparable CRM
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Collaborative, mission-driven mindset
- Knowledge of or genuine enthusiasm for early childhood literacy, children’s books, or pediatric health is a strong plus
- Experience with the Northeast philanthropic landscape is preferred.
