Job Description
CFO leading integrated finance teams at Northstar Financial Advisory for multiple client engagements. Managing financial strategies and advising on client communication and leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop Northstar’s client-facing CFO function across multiple engagements
- Manage, coach, and mentor CFOs and senior finance leaders serving clients
- Own Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Oversee client health, delivery quality, and escalation management across the portfolio
- Partner with the CEO to ensure client service is scalable, consistent, and excellent
- Build repeatable processes, best practices, and accountability across the client-facing team
- Own cash flow, forecasting, and budgeting
- Develop KPIs and dashboards that drive decisions
- Present to boards, investors, and lenders
- Guide capital strategy and transaction support (M&A, financing, etc.)
- Partner on tax strategy in real time
- Set the standard for client communication, strategic guidance, and financial leadership
Requirements:
- 8+ years in accounting or finance leadership
- Experience as a CFO, VP Finance, or senior finance leader
- Strong modeling, forecasting, and strategic thinking skills
- Ability to translate numbers into business decisions
- Comfortable managing multiple clients in a fast-paced environment
- CPA preferred but not required
- Client-facing experience is a plus
