Job Description

Senior Oncology District Manager leading field-based sales teams for Johnson & Johnson’s innovative cancer therapies. Driving territory plans, performance, market penetration, and patient-focused growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of Oncology Sales Specialists
  • Conduct effective performance management
  • Direct the Oncology sales team in implementing the sales plan
  • Maximize product distribution and market penetration within company guidelines and policies
  • Ensure consistent application of established employee-management policies and procedures
  • Meet or exceed sales goals
  • Direct sales strategy and manage activities to maximize brand objectives across sales and marketing
  • Guide the team in planning and executing territory business plans for Oncology products
  • Build strategic plans and guide the team to deliver sales results within an assigned budget
  • Build a high-performing, motivated and engaged team
  • Develop individual talent and manage performance
  • Connect with internal and external customers
  • Work in the field with minimal supervision and adapt quickly to change
  • Apply pharmaceutical/biotech regulatory and promotional guidelines

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant work experience
  • A minimum of five (5) years of sales or cross-functional experience in key commercial roles within the pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device or healthcare industry
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire and motivate others to success
  • A valid driver's license issued in one of the fifty (50) United States
  • Willingness to travel as needed or required, up to 40%, including overnight/weekend travel
  • Preferred: Experience in Oncology, hospital and/or large account sales, and leading through complex reimbursement issues
  • Preferred: Prior people management experience overseeing a mid sized team or completion of a Management Development Program
  • Expertise in high-level planning and organizing and business planning
  • Demonstrated commitment to learning emerging technologies, such as AI
  • Experience building team AI literacy and confidence, reinforcing trusted and responsible AI use and sound judgment
