Job Description

Field-based Senior Oncology District Manager leading sales specialists for Johnson & Johnson’s innovative cancer therapies. Driving territory plans, performance, market penetration, and patient-focused growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of Oncology Sales Specialists and conduct effective performance management
  • Direct the Oncology sales team in implementing the sales plan to maximize product distribution and market penetration
  • Ensure consistent application of established policies and procedures to meet or exceed sales goals
  • Direct sales strategy and manage activities required to maximize brand objectives across sales and marketing
  • Lead field-based Oncology Sales Specialists executing territory business plans for oncology products
  • Build strategic plans and guide the team to deliver sales results within an assigned budget
  • Build a high-performing, motivated and engaged team while developing individual talent and managing performance
  • Connect with internal and external customers and shape the business to help appropriate patients
  • Work in the field with minimal supervision and adapt quickly to change
  • Demonstrate understanding of pharmaceutical/biotech regulatory and promotional guidelines

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant work experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years of sales or cross-functional experience in key commercial roles within the pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device or healthcare industry
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire and motivate others to success
  • Valid driver's license issued in one of the fifty (50) United States
  • Willingness to travel as needed or required, up to 40%, including possible overnight/weekend travel
  • Preferred: Experience in Oncology, hospital and/or large account sales, and leading through complex reimbursement issues
  • Preferred: Prior people management experience overseeing a mid-sized team or completion of a Management Development Program
  • Preferred: Expertise in high-level planning, organizing and business planning
  • Preferred: Demonstrated commitment to learning emerging technologies, such as AI
  • Preferred: Experience building team AI literacy and confidence, reinforcing trusted and responsible AI use and sound judgment
