Job Description
Senior Project Manager leading complex healthcare, operational, and technology initiatives for EmpiRx Health, a pharmacy benefits management company. Driving PMO governance, stakeholder alignment, risk management, and end-to-end project delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of complex projects across business and technology functions
- Develop and maintain project charters, stakeholder registries, communications plans, RAIDD logs, and project plans
- Define project scope, objectives, success measures, and deliverables with business owners and functional leaders
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies
- Drive project execution, schedule adherence, issue resolution, and delivery performance
- Ensure project outcomes align with organizational priorities, PMO standards, and operational readiness requirements
- Partner with business leaders, operational teams, technology teams, and external vendors
- Facilitate project meetings, status reviews, steering discussions, and executive updates
- Prepare and deliver reporting on project health, milestone progress, risks, financial impacts, and decision needs
- Escalate issues and influence stakeholders to resolve barriers
- Build cross-functional relationships supporting collaboration, accountability, and change adoption
- Champion PMO tools, templates, methodologies, and reporting practices
- Mentor project managers and provide guidance on best practices
- Contribute to improvements in PMO standards, dashboards, templates, and project intake or prioritization processes
- Maintain project records, status reporting, and dependency tracking for leadership review
- Promote accountability, transparency, and delivery excellence
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or other relevant education and experience as determined by the company
- 5+ years of project management experience in a healthcare environment
- Proven ability to manage large cross-functional teams and complex initiatives
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to operate with versatility and flexibility in a loosely defined environment
- Experience using project management software such as Smartsheet and Jira
- PMP Certification preferred
