Job Description
Senior Sales Manager responsible for driving sales in wind energy sector for GE Vernova. Managing key client relationships and identifying new opportunities in Canada and the US.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, create and establish close working relationships with all key personnel of assigned accounts and develop a deep understanding of their strategies and needs.
- Identify, create and develop new relationships with potential accounts and develop a deep understanding of their strategies and needs.
- Promote a customer-focused mindset within GE operations.
- Provide commercial and technical support to assigned accounts and foster the development of their renewable energy strategies.
- Ensure GE's products and services are considered favorably in all projects of assigned accounts.
- Understand the impact of national and regional market drivers, financing, and the competitiveness of GE products and services.
- Quickly identify project issues and anticipate competitors' moves.
- Stay informed about the development of GE Onshore Wind's new products and services and effectively communicate their value to assigned accounts.
- Identify, develop and close sales opportunities with assigned accounts.
- Identify, understand and communicate critical customer issues to the Onshore Wind business unit.
- Work effectively in a team environment with commercial operations, technical operations, engineering, finance, the OTR (order-to-cash) process and services to ensure the most effective use of all resources leading to winning strategies.
- Integrate GE Vernova's broader products and services into strategic and transactional activities and opportunities.
- Participate in and support renewable energy trade shows, conferences and other market development activities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project and opportunity information in the Salesforce management tool and manage the ITO (inquiry-to-order) process for assigned accounts.
- Participate in quarterly and annual sales planning processes, both internally and with customers.
- Be accountable for customer commitments, orders, sales, pricing/profitability, cash flow, risk assessment, terms and conditions, and overall customer satisfaction.
- Perform any other duties as required by management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering or business discipline from an accredited university or school.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience selling industrial equipment and/or long-term services associated with such equipment, ideally in the power generation sector.
- Fluent in Canadian French and English.
