Job Description

Senior ServiceNow Developer building and integrating ITSM applications for GDIT, a government technology and professional services company. Supporting mission-critical U.S. government, defense, and intelligence programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and customize ServiceNow applications, including ITSM modules such as Incident, Problem, and Change Management
  • Create Business Rules and Script Includes to automate processes and meet business requirements
  • Integrate ServiceNow with other systems using REST, SOAP, and related technologies
  • Perform user and role management, system maintenance, and health checks
  • Customize user interfaces, forms, and workflows
  • Provide end-user support and troubleshoot integrated processes and platform functionality
  • Define and create reports, dashboards, and data analysis products with end users, stakeholders, and management
  • Participate in technical process reviews, postmortems, and continual process improvement
  • Maintain current ServiceNow and industry certifications and obtain additional certifications
  • Contribute to mission-critical government projects and technical specifications
  • Travel less than 10%

Requirements:

  • Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree
  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Experience developing and customizing ServiceNow applications and ITSM modules
  • Experience with SOAP, REST, web services, and creating and consuming integrations
  • Scripting skill in at least one language, preferably JavaScript
  • Exposure to Import Sets, Transform Maps, and CMDB
  • Ability to analyze requirements, troubleshoot issues, and develop technical solutions
  • Understanding of Agile software testing from smoke testing through integration and production deployment
  • Ability to document and create functionality aligned with customer value streams
  • Organizational and time management skills in a rapid software development environment
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Good communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
  • Ability to drive methodology changes, manage customer deliverables, and resolve process issues
  • Ability to communicate as a technical authority and contribute to proposals and technical specifications
  • Ability to lead Scrum demos, work groups, and team efforts
  • Ability to collaborate with and influence stakeholders, mentor junior team members, and support staff development
  • ServiceNow Certified Systems Administrator certification
  • Active Top Secret clearance or DOE Q Access Authorization
  • US citizenship required
