Job Description

Senior ServiceNow Developer expanding Thales Australia's ServiceNow platform across ITSM and IRM. Designing automations, integrations, and governed solutions for secure enterprise service delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, configure, and optimise the ServiceNow platform, including custom applications, workflows, integrations, scripting, and automations
  • Support and lead the expansion of ServiceNow capabilities across ITSM and IRM modules
  • Help shape the platform roadmap and future-state architecture
  • Gather requirements, prioritise enhancements, and deliver scalable solutions aligned with ITIL practices and organisational governance
  • Ensure platform reliability, security, and performance through code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, governance, and proactive monitoring
  • Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and service optimisation
  • Support upgrades, release management, documentation, service continuity, and operational support for critical ServiceNow applications
  • Provide technical guidance to stakeholders and translate business requirements into effective solutions
  • Establish development standards, best practices, and governance frameworks for the ServiceNow platform

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience working with ServiceNow, including ITSM, IRM, or related platform capabilities
  • 2+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience, including scripting, workflow development, integrations, and platform customisation
  • Experience delivering ServiceNow enhancements and projects within an enterprise or complex operational environment
  • Strong understanding of ITIL principles and service management best practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented approach
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry experience
  • Current ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification required
  • Certifications such as Certified Application Developer (CAD), ITSM, IRM, or other ServiceNow specialisations highly regarded
  • Australian citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain an appropriate Defence security clearance
  • Successful completion of pre-employment police and, depending on role type, medical checks
