Job Description
Senior Solution Engineer designing secure, integrated Movex ERP solutions for Cummins. Supporting data migration, testing, configuration, production issues, and business process improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and gather business and technical requirements
- Design and document fit-for-purpose solutions
- Contribute to solution development, design, integration, testing, and configuration
- Ensure solutions adhere to architecture and security standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and business partners
- Identify integration points and assess technical fit and viability of commercial-off-the-shelf versus custom solutions
- Develop and maintain technical design documents, workflows, and architecture diagrams
- Define and execute test strategies and validate solutions against business objectives
- Validate integrations and document configuration steps
- Identify and communicate technical dependencies and risks
- Work with vendors and IT service providers to resolve technical issues and improve product functionality
- Design and implement data migration solutions
- Develop, design, test, maintain, and configure solutions and systems
- Serve as subject matter expert and point of contact for assigned applications
- Recommend enhancements to improve business process efficiency and adoption of standard application features
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify enhancements in solution design or workflow efficiency
- Assist technical and infrastructure groups with solution design and specifications
- Ensure outsourced work packages meet quality, schedule, cost, data privacy, security, performance, and scalability requirements
- Participate in formal design, cybersecurity, and applicable code reviews
Requirements:
- College, university, or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related subject, or relevant equivalent experience required
- Intermediate level of relevant work experience required
- 3-5 years of experience
- 5+ years of experience with Movex ERP systems implementations and managing complex applications landscapes
- In-depth knowledge of Movex Supply Chain and finance capabilities
- Experience troubleshooting and debugging system issues
- Experience with system design and configuration to meet business requirements
- Experience working with business stakeholders on solution gaps and incident management, including 3rd-level production support
- Ability to upskill knowledge of SAP, Salesforce, MuleSoft, and cloud computing
- Knowledge of the software development cycle and project management methodologies
- Ability to design, develop, and implement best-practice solutions and improvements to Sales, Service, and Warranty processes
- SAFe Agile certification and practitioner experience preferred
- University or equivalent degree preferred or equivalent work experience in a relevant technical discipline
