Job Description
Senior Solutions Architect leading SOC, SIEM/SOAR, CTEM, and AI-assisted security architecture engagements. Trace3 provides transformative IT solutions and consulting services to organizations across the United States.
Responsibilities:
- Provide architect-level thought leadership and expertise across modern security operations and exposure management
- Lead complex client architecture engagements from discovery through executive readout
- Assess client current state and deliver strategic, tactical, and operational recommendations
- Design target-state threat and exposure management architectures
- Define risk scoring, remediation SLAs, and accountability models
- Architect AI capabilities including agentic enrichment, automated remediation routing, executive reporting, and closed-loop validation
- Converge detection and exposure operations into a threat-informed loop
- Govern asset inventory, findings normalization, and security data pipeline decisions
- Author and maintain reference architectures, assessment frameworks, and packaged offerings
- Collaborate with Security Solutions practices, regional teams, Managed Services, and Service Delivery
- Develop enablement and certification content for architects and sellers
- Serve as senior technical counterpart to priority Security Operations partners
- Support account teams with solution design, competitive positioning, proposals, SOWs, and technical validation
- Provide subject matter expertise on AI in security operations, AI-assisted triage, LLM-based detection engineering, agentic workflows, and agent governance
- Advocate for Trace3 through speaking engagements, publications, briefings, and industry events
- Mentor solutions architects, early-career practitioners, and interns
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Cybersecurity or equivalent information security, engineering, or like discipline from an accredited college or university, or measurable knowledge / experience from proven industry, military, defense, or government operations
- 8+ years’ experience in security operations, exposure management, or both
- Experience in a customer-facing presales, solutions architecture, or technology consulting role within a VAR, systems integrator, consultancy, or technology vendor
- Deep expertise in at least two of the following: SIEM/SOAR platforms; endpoint/EDR/XDR; threat, exposure, and vulnerability management; identity and cloud telemetry integration
- Experience designing target-state security operations architectures, platform consolidation and migration strategy, detection-as-code, exposure-as-code, and SOC and exposure operating models
- Experience designing or operating a risk-based vulnerability management or CTEM program at enterprise scale
- Working knowledge of CVSS, EPSS, CISA KEV, SSVC, and threat intelligence enrichment
- Familiarity with attack path analysis, breach and attack simulation, and adversarial validation
- Practical experience building, evaluating, or operating AI-assisted security operations and exposure management capabilities
- Working knowledge of NIST CSF, MITRE ATT&CK, MITRE D3FEND, ISO 27001, and CTEM-aligned exposure frameworks
- Working knowledge and experience with at least one major cloud service provider: AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Ability to conduct workshops, assessments, executive briefings, and clear reporting and recommendations
- Knowledge and experience creating and maintaining technical documentation, presentations, plans, and roadmaps
- Strong executive communication, interpersonal, customer presentation, organization, time management, prioritization, and deadline-management skills
- Ability to travel approximately 25–35% and hold a valid driver’s license
