Job Description
Senior Solution Architect designing cloud-native integration architectures for Europol. Validating technologies, guiding implementation, and supporting Kubernetes, Azure, and AWS solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Perform market analysis and proof-of-concept work to validate intended designs and identify suitable technologies and products
- Support delivery stream domains and scopes through technology and product evaluation
- Follow up on implementation of approved designs with ICT Engineering and Operations teams
- Clarify open points and steer implementation toward successful delivery
- Provide design knowledge and expertise
- Present architecture decisions and guidelines to varied audiences
- Work in a multicultural, self-managed team
Requirements:
- More than 6 years of experience in ICT Solution design, specifically on integration architectures and microservices architectures
- Minimum 3 years of experience with cloud native technologies, including microservices, REST APIs, and message queues
- Minimum 3 years of experience designing and implementing solutions based on cloud native infrastructure, such as Kubernetes
- Participation in a minimum of 3 systems integration projects
- Experience with and participation in the EU Interoperability program
- Good knowledge of interoperability technologies, including REST APIs, message-oriented middleware, and service-oriented applications
- Good knowledge of container and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes, on premises and in the cloud
- Good knowledge of Azure/AWS
- Good knowledge of solution design best practices
- Ability to create self-explainable documents and diagrams
- Ability to present architecture decisions and guidelines to varied audiences
- Good knowledge of security and access management best practices for cloud native solutions
- Only European Citizens
- Bachelor or Master Degree
- Kubernetes, Azure/AWS Cloud Architecture, or Agile certification desirable
