Job Description
Varicent Functional & Technical Solution Architect supporting CVS Health’s HR compensation and sales incentive technology. Designing, configuring, integrating and improving the Varicent SPM platform.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Compensation functional area for Sales Incentives, including global priorities and roadmaps
- Develop product vision, goals and roadmaps with business leaders and stakeholders
- Evaluate Varicent capabilities through research and testing
- Gather requirements, optimize business processes, perform fit-gap analysis, create functional designs, configure solutions and conduct testing
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and create timelines
- Lead the design, development and maintenance of the Varicent SPM platform
- Configure, customize and develop Varicent enhancements, including calculations, workflows, incentives, rules and compensation plan components
- Design, build and maintain Varicent reports, dashboards, analytics and audit capabilities
- Perform and support user acceptance testing, including test plans, scenarios, cases and results
- Maintain documentation, approvals, artifacts, deliverables and timelines
- Deliver Varicent enhancements, project requests and defect resolutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners and maintain delivery transparency and expectations
- Analyze data and metrics to inform strategy and share insights and actions
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend platform improvements
- Maintain awareness of Varicent functionality and coordinate with the vendor on changes
- Participate in vendor releases, regression testing and cross-functional initiatives
- Provide strategic direction, guidance, mentoring and team member development
Requirements:
- 8+ years' experience in a Varicent Functional or Technical Lead role
- 8+ years' experience configuring and debugging Business Processes and building solutions in Varicent SPM platforms
- 8+ years' experience gathering requirements, performing fit-gap analysis, designing solutions, creating functional designs, configuring SaaS applications, performing user acceptance testing, and maintaining product health
- 5+ years of Varicent SPM platform experience, including calculations, workflows and configuration
- 5+ years of experience configuring and building integrations between Varicent and enterprise systems
- 5+ years' experience generating Varicent reports for analysis, data auditing and supporting requests from various business teams
- 4+ years of experience with Varicent integration architecture and design patterns
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- Experience supporting HR systems for large organizations with non-exempt employees
- Experience supporting international employees
- Ability to lead a team in a matrix organization while managing multiple priorities
- Product ownership experience with accountability for product health
- Strong organizational, analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to develop and sustain relationships with business partners and stakeholders
- Strong customer service orientation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong work ethic, self-starter mentality, and ability to be highly productive in a dynamic, collaborative environment
- Experience with Project Management, Change Management and Communications
