Job Description
Senior Solutions Engineer guiding Akamai customers through technical pre-sales solutions. Demonstrating cloud, edge, and security technologies to accelerate and protect digital experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in sales cycles and define solutions that meet customer requirements
- Partner with customers to understand business goals and scope appropriate deliverables
- Work with sales to generate opportunities by managing the pre-sales technical process and demonstrating Akamai's value
- Lead presentations, consultations, technical demos, customer analysis reports, and proofs of concept
- Track account activity for business analysis and reporting
- Design technical solutions to meet customer needs
- Build trusted relationships with customer decision-makers
- Articulate Akamai's value proposition and build future revenue opportunities
- Participate in ongoing training initiatives and train others
Requirements:
- Experience in a customer-facing technical solutions pre-sales or post-sale role
- Fluent in Japanese
- Conversational in English, including reading and writing
- Knowledge or understanding of Computing (IaaS), Web/API Security, or zero trust security
- Relevant certifications or knowledge such as CKA, AWS, SAA, GCP, PCA, or CISSP
- Good written and verbal presentation skills
- Ability to collaborate with external and internal stakeholders
- Ability to collaborate, prioritize, and solve problems in a fast-changing environment
- Solid problem-solving skills
- Desire for results and appetite to learn new technologies
