Job Description

Senior Solutions Engineer helping Coder sell secure AI development infrastructure to federal agencies. Leading demos, deployments, and proofs-of-concept in classified and air-gapped environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Account Executives to qualify, progress, and close revenue opportunities with civilian, defense, and intelligence community agencies
  • Own the technical relationship with agency prospects through pre-sales and manage toward a technical win
  • Lead or support post-sales relationships and renewals when needed
  • Demo the Coder platform from developer, administrator, and AI-agent workflow perspectives, including classified and air-gapped settings
  • Install Coder on cloud, including GovCloud, and on-premises Kubernetes or VM infrastructure, including air-gapped and disconnected networks
  • Run proofs-of-concept demonstrating Coder’s value for agentic and LLM-powered development workflows
  • Develop subject-matter expertise in Cloud Development Environments and agentic AI development
  • Serve as the agency’s voice and route insights to Engineering and Product
  • Log feature requests and issues in public/private Git repositories
  • Troubleshoot Coder deployments, networking, and Kubernetes components during evaluations, including in classified networks
  • Contribute pull requests to Coder documentation
  • Diagnose technical, security, and mission blockers and design fast, effective proofs-of-concept
  • Translate technical fluency into business cases for program managers, security officers, and mission owners
  • Identify technical, security, and procedural risks and involve appropriate stakeholders
  • Feed field experience back into product and marketing

Requirements:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required at time of hire
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Physically based in the DC / Maryland / Virginia (DMV) area
  • Ability to travel to customer sites as required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Solutions Engineer selling infrastructure or developer tooling
  • Experience selling into federal, defense, or intelligence community customers ideally
  • Experience with AI tooling at the user and infrastructure levels, including coding agents, assistants, model proxies, and LLM routing layers
  • Ability to speak credibly about agency evaluation and adoption of AI tooling, including in classified environments
  • Strong customer-facing skills with technical stakeholders and program offices
  • Ability to translate technical hurdles into mission value
  • Understanding of agentic AI software development use cases
  • Comfortable leading architecture demos and deep-dive troubleshooting in secure, restricted-access environments
  • Deep Linux fundamentals and command-line proficiency
  • 3+ years hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or on-premises/air-gapped Kubernetes deployments
  • 3+ years with Terraform or comparable infrastructure-as-code tooling
  • Solid networking knowledge, including ingress controllers, proxies, load balancers, and DoD/IC network boundaries
  • Startup-speed execution, ownership mindset, and player-coach attitude
