Job Description
Senior system engineer supporting NVIDIA enterprise networking customers and products. Troubleshooting InfiniBand and datacenter protocols while developing C-based tools and features.
Responsibilities:
- Join NVIDIA's Solution Engineering team focused on Mellanox Networking, DGX Platforms, Container Orchestrators, Deep Learning containers, and enterprise system software
- Spend approximately 50% of time helping customers with complex problems and 50% on R&D-related work
- Take ownership of customer issues concerning InfiniBand/NVLink switch deployments from inception to resolution
- Develop features and tools supporting Enterprise Service offerings, including Networking products
- Work with NVIDIA Enterprise customers and internal users to improve availability, reliability, and overall experience with NVIDIA Networking products
- Apply independent analysis, communication, and problem-solving to customer experience
- Collaborate with engineering to document, recreate, and solve issues
Requirements:
- BSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years system software development and troubleshooting experience, ideally with some customer facing
- Experience developing C in kernel and/or application space and/or embedded software
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and analysis of common datacenter networking protocols/technologies, including LACP, OSPF, BGP, EVPN, and VXLAN
- Intellectual curiosity, positive attitude, flexibility, analytical ability, self-motivation, and team orientation
- Professional-level communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with InfiniBand/Ethernet networks, RDMA protocol, RoCE, DPUs, HPC applications (MPI/UCX), and OVS
- Ability to deeply analyze IP, Layer 2 switching, and Layer 3 routing networking protocols, including ARP, STP, LACP, MLAG, IGMP, PIM, BGP, and OSPF
- Contributions to networking-related open-source projects
