Job Description
Site Supervisor managing high-voltage AIS/GIS projects for GE Vernova in the UK. Overseeing installation, maintenance, and ensuring project safety and quality compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the technical integrity, safety, and quality of our high-voltage AIS and GIS projects
- Act as the heartbeat of our on-site operations, managing installation, maintenance, and commissioning
- Ensure project quality and integrity, adhering to GE's standards
- Manage the identification, reporting, and resolution of product nonconformities
- Liaise with clients as the primary contact for product and installation issues
- Provide regular project updates to the Project Manager
- Lead field teams and promote a culture of safety on-site
- Conduct site visits to assess equipment condition and report failures
- Ensure accurate records and quality documentation are maintained
- Supervise installation, repair, and maintenance of GE products
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations
Requirements:
- Extensive hands-on experience in substation primary plant construction and installation techniques
- Familiarity with the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of high-voltage AIS/GIS equipment
- Ability to lead field operations, including task delegation with subcontractors
- Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks and safety standards
- Capability to manage quality assurance processes, including identifying and documenting nonconformities
- Formal education in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (City & Guilds, ONC, HND, or equivalent) is nice to have
