Job Description
Solutions Architect designing custom AI agents and cloud automation for DuploCloud customers. Leading technical discovery, demos, proofs of concept, and solution hand-offs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead technical discovery conversations with prospects' DevOps, platform engineering, SRE, and engineering leadership
- Understand prospects' environment provisioning, release, Terraform, Kubernetes, incident response, security, and compliance workflows
- Map prospect workflows onto DuploCloud's 70/30 model
- Identify built-in platform capabilities and custom organization-specific requirements
- Design and build custom agents using the DuploCloud Coding Assistant and DevKit
- Define policy models, write skills, and generate workflow UX
- Deliver live demos and scoped proofs of concept on a laptop or in the prospect's cloud
- Perform infrastructure assessments and produce cost calculators, ROI plans, and migration and implementation plans
- Handle technical objections, architecture and security reviews, and build-vs-buy discussions
- Partner with Onboarding and Forward Deployed Engineering teams on successful hand-offs
- Feed field learnings back to Product and Engineering
- Contribute reusable Agents, skills, and demo assets to the Agent library
Requirements:
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience as a solutions architect, cloud architect, DevOps/platform engineer, or SRE, including time spent working with both customers and internal teams in a pre-sales, consulting, or delivery capacity
- Strong hands-on knowledge of public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP); on-prem infrastructure experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, ECS and similar container orchestration technologies
- Strong knowledge of Terraform and similar IaC technologies, and of CI/CD systems (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Argo CD)
- Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants and agentic tooling (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, or similar)
- Working understanding of MCP, skills/prompt design, and LLM trade-offs such as model selection, token cost, and human-in-the-loop controls
- Proven ability to run technical discovery and translate prospect workflows into scoped, demonstrable solutions
- Ability to interpret sophisticated problem statements, boil them down into simple solutions, and collaborate with prospects and channel partners
- Strong presentation and demo storytelling skills for business and technical audiences
- Ability to produce solution architectures, PoC plans, cost calculators, ROI models, and migration/implementation plans
- Working understanding of SOC 2, HIPAA, and PCI security and compliance frameworks as applied to cloud infrastructure and AI-driven automation
- Scripting or programming proficiency (e.g., Python, Bash, Go) sufficient to build and debug Agents, skills, and integrations
- Experience with platform engineering / IDP tooling (e.g., Backstage), observability stacks, or early-stage startup environments
