Job Description

Sponsorship & Events Lead bringing LIC’s dairy genetics, diagnostics, software and customer-service brand to New Zealand farmers. Leading events, partnerships and measurable engagement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver events and sponsorship initiatives supporting LIC’s strategic priorities and delivering measurable value
  • Ensure events, sponsorships, and partnerships have clear objectives and contribute to business outcomes
  • Identify, negotiate, and manage sponsorship and partnership opportunities
  • Measure and evaluate performance to maximise return on investment and drive continuous improvement
  • Use customer insights and data to design targeted initiatives that increase participation, engagement, and impact
  • Lead the planning and delivery of high-quality events
  • Strengthen relationships with farmer shareholders, customers, and industry stakeholders
  • Work with internal stakeholders and external partners on initiatives enhancing LIC’s reputation and supporting commercial outcomes
  • Report to the Communications and Brand Engagement Manager

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related discipline
  • Proven experience delivering corporate events, conferences, sponsorship programmes, and stakeholder engagement initiatives
  • Strong strategic planning skills aligned to organisational goals and business outcomes
  • Outstanding stakeholder management, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
  • Experience managing budgets, contracts, and evaluating ROI
  • Ability to use customer insights and data to inform decision-making and improve engagement
  • Confident presenter and brand ambassador comfortable representing an organisation at events and industry engagements
  • Exceptional project management and organisational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience using event management platforms, CRM systems, and reporting tools
