Job Description
Lead Capital One Shopping’s full-stack engineering projects and developer team. Building cloud-based products that help millions of Americans achieve financial empowerment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers
- Create solutions that help meet regulatory needs for the company
- Stay current with technology trends and experiment with and learn new technologies
- Participate in internal and external technology communities
- Mentor members of the engineering community
- Code or evaluate code when needed
- Collaborate with digital product managers
- Deliver robust cloud-based solutions driving experiences for millions of Americans
- Use JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, Go, open-source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS tools and services
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 6 years of experience in software engineering (internship experience does not apply)
- At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- Preferred: Master’s Degree
- Preferred: 9+ years of experience in JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, or Go
- Preferred: 4+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service
- Preferred: 4+ years of experience in open source frameworks
- Preferred: 1+ years of people management experience
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience in Agile practices
