Job Description
Strategic finance expert producing investment, pricing, capital allocation, and corporate planning analyses. Supporting Mercor’s AI-lab and enterprise partnerships that train frontier AI models.
Responsibilities:
- Complete self-contained strategic finance exercises from mock files
- Build business cases and investment appraisals using NPV, IRR, and payback
- Produce capital allocation determinations ranking investments against hurdle rates with portfolio review
- Build scenario and sensitivity analyses of the corporate plan across demand, pricing, and cost
- Analyze pricing and discount economics for price setting and deal desk approvals with margin impact
- Produce market sizing and competitive landscape analysis
- Analyze cohort and unit economics
- Produce cost baseline and savings analysis for cost reduction programs
- Complete assessment deliverables including a business case, pricing and margin recommendation, and capital allocation ranking
- Work on projects focused on training and enhancing AI systems
Requirements:
- 4+ years in strategic finance, corporate strategy, or corporate planning inside an operating company
- Ownership of a capital or pricing decision that went to a leadership forum
- Independent contractor engagement
- Fund-side strategy roles are out of scope
- Unable to support H1-B or STEM OPT candidates at this time
