Job Description
Talent Acquisition Specialist managing full-cycle healthcare recruitment for Sentara Health. Building diverse pipelines and advising hiring leaders across Virginia and North Carolina.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to understand current and future hiring needs
- Anticipate workforce trends and develop proactive recruiting strategies to address talent gaps
- Advise on talent market insights, candidate availability, and hiring best practices
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes from intake through offer
- Execute and facilitate screening, interviewing, and selection processes
- Ensure a consistent, efficient, and high-quality hiring experience
- Identify and leverage new and diverse sourcing channels
- Build robust talent pipelines through tactical and strategic sourcing
- Proactively source passive candidates and cultivate relationships for current and future opportunities
- Participate in workforce forecasting and recruitment planning
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies aligned with business priorities
- Improve recruitment processes and hiring outcomes
- Lead or contribute to talent acquisition projects and initiatives
- Manage a high volume of requisitions across varied job types and complexity
- Maintain organization and follow-through in a fast-paced environment
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- Bachelor’s Degree (Strongly Preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years of HR experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, OR 4 years of recruiting experience with a High School Diploma/GED (Required)
- 5+ years of recruiting experience required for consideration as a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist
- Strong relationship-building and consultative partnership skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and high requisition volume
- Proven success in sourcing, engaging, and hiring high-impact talent
- Commitment to inclusive hiring practices and diverse talent pipelines
- Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
- Regular travel across Virginia and North Carolina
- Residency within 50 miles of Virginia Beach, VA is strongly preferred
