Job Description
Team Staffing Specialist sourcing and screening veterinary talent for American Veterinary Group’s expanding UrgentVet practices. Building inaugural hospital teams through recruiting research, virtual interviews, and staffing planning.
Responsibilities:
- Identify practice manager and support staff talent through resume databases, directories, practice websites, social media profiles, and name-generation techniques
- Generate candidate pipelines through targeted email campaigns to passive candidates and prior applicants
- Conduct virtual screens to assess technical skill level, position alignment, and scheduling availability
- Maintain, improve, and expand the Lever candidate database/CRM
- Provide market intelligence on labor-market trends and research with the Recruiting Team
- Collaborate with the Recruiting Team to improve workflow efficiency, work quality, and lead conversion rates
- Assemble inaugural teams for newly constructed UrgentVet practices nationwide
- Report to the Director of Team Staffing
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a Veterinary Technician and Practice Management is required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a veterinary technician
- Licensed/Registered/Credentialed Technician (LVT/RVT/CVT) preferred
- Ability to proactively manage deadlines and deliver results with quick turnaround times
- Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to take ownership of responsibilities
- Experience working independently with little direction and comfort in ambiguous environments
- Strong written communication skills, including proper grammar and spelling
- Ability to create staffing plans for hospitals in a region
- Ability to handle rejection in a highly competitive labor market
- Ability to pivot focus and priorities based on changing veterinary practice needs
- Ability to travel on a limited basis, up to 10%
- Strong command of the English language
