Job Description
Tech Lead harmonizing architectural strategy and hands-on delivery at FinTech startup building an AI-powered money platform. Guiding team to high-performance execution and sustainable engineering practices.
Responsibilities:
- Harmonize our architectural strategy with hands-on delivery.
- Uphold the standards of our technical landscape, ensuring that all solutions remain robust, scalable, and compliant.
- Contribute to the codebase through hands-on development (typically 30–50% of time).
- Perform code reviews and ensure consistency, maintainability, and test coverage.
- Support integration, testing, and deployment processes in collaboration with DevOps and QA teams.
- Oversee refactoring and technical debt management within the squad.
- Mentor and coach engineers to develop technical skills, secure coding habits, and quality mindset.
- Promote knowledge sharing through documentation, pair programming, and technical sessions.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and engineering excellence.
- Ensure that all solutions comply with GDPR, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, DORA, and internal ISMS controls.
- Work closely with the Engineering Manager to balance delivery scope, quality, and technical feasibility.
- Partner with the Product Manager and Scrum Master to plan sprints, estimate effort, and manage dependencies.
- Coordinate with DevOps, QA, and Security teams to ensure smooth release and environment readiness.
Requirements:
- At least 5-7 years of solid development, with 2-3 years rocking a Senior or Lead role.
- Expert in a high-performance language (preferably Go) suitable for high-throughput financial systems.
- Proven experience designing and scaling resilient, fault-tolerant microservices on the cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure).
- Bonus points for Kubernetes familiarity.
- Comfortable building reliable, traceable data pipelines for audit trails and compliance reporting.
- Prior experience in a regulated finance/crypto/investment environment is mandatory; you understand transaction risk and regulatory flow.
- Must translate complex compliance mandates (especially DORA, ISO 27001, PCI DSS) into clear, high-quality technical implementation.
- Enforce secure coding practices (OWASP) and understand IAM, access controls, and secrets management at an architectural level.
- Able to quickly weigh trade-offs, make decisive technical calls, and drive consensus in critical architectural discussions.
- Proven ability to mentor engineers, elevate the team's security standards, and lead technical planning for sprints.
- Proficiency & fluency in English, any other second language is an advantage.
