Job Description
Drive product development as Product Manager for Checkmk's monitoring solutions. Lead user-centric design, enhance workflows, and shape product strategy in a dynamic tech environment.
Responsibilities:
- Build a product central to users' everyday lives and make a measurable impact
- Take end-to-end ownership of a defined product area within the monitoring platform
- Translate product strategy into a clear roadmap and a well-prioritized backlog
- Collaborate closely with engineering, UX, and domain experts
- Define problems worth solving, make trade-off decisions, and ensure each increment advances the product vision
- Improve technology monitoring with a focus on simplifying workflows in the UI
- Own the end-to-end experience for new and redesigned features
- Work closely with UX designers to translate technical requirements into cohesive product solutions
- Act as a subject-matter expert on technical depth and frontend capabilities
- Manage and prioritize the backlog to maintain strategic focus within the product area
Requirements:
- Proven track record as a (Technical) Product Manager or Product Owner with a strong affinity for UX
- A technical mindset for engineering issues combined with a user-centered approach to solving them in the user interface
- Solid understanding of IT infrastructure and cloud services, bridging technical backends and intuitive frontend requirements
- Familiarity with monitoring or DevOps software is a significant advantage
- Strong analytical skills to transform complex backend data into meaningful, user-facing information
- Excellent communication skills in English; ability to act as a bridge between engineering and user-centric design (German is a plus)
