Job Description

Technical Sales Manager developing and selling food ingredients in the Benelux region for an international distributor. Providing technical support and managing customer relationships for product development.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing solution‑oriented technical advice to customers and keeping suppliers informed about market developments
  • Supporting product and application development together with our product specialists and application technologists
  • Managing and expanding business with existing customers while actively developing new opportunities across the Benelux region
  • Achieving your sales targets and driving projects from first contact to successful implementation
  • Working closely with our customer service team to ensure smooth operational execution
  • Analysis of the market and the product range of our suppliers to find new potentials
  • Responsible for making market strategy, purchasing, and selling of assigned Product-groups
  • Building a close relationship with our suppliers and customers
  • Visits of customers, analysis of their needs, creation of value propositions
  • Participation in production trials at the customer/implementation of small-scale trials in the application kitchen
  • Project management in close cooperation with the responsible Customer Service Manager
  • Alignment of the sales strategy for the product groups of the suppliers with the help of the Category Managers
  • Discover and understand customer’s needs and develop tailor-made solutions
  • Conduct lab, small-scale or industrial trials with customers

  • Develop and execute Sales Budget and forecasts

Requirements:

  • You have a technical background in Food Technoloy
  • You combine technical understanding with a strong commercial mindset
  • You recognise opportunities, build long‑term relationships and communicate with integrity and respect
  • You are dynamic, results‑driven and passionate about what you do
  • You think in solutions and enjoy innovating together with customers
  • You are fluent in Dutch, French and English
  • You are comfortable with MS Office; experience with ERP or CRM is a plus
  • You are willing to travel frequently within the Benelux and occasionally internationally for training, trade fairs and partner meetings
  • Ability to solve technological problems and passion for food product development
