Job Description
Technical Solutions Architect deploying Seqera Platform across cloud and on-premises environments. Supporting life sciences clients with infrastructure, automation, security, and production onboarding.
Responsibilities:
- Lead client implementations across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments from requirements through working Seqera Platform deployment
- Deploy infrastructure and compute, including networking, DNS, TLS, private CAs, IAM, secrets, container runtimes, and pipeline storage
- Deliver within client access, security, and compliance constraints while guiding client IT teams
- Build repeatable, safe deployment tooling with pre-flight checks, clear failures, tests, and documentation
- Partner with Sales and Scientific Development on solution design and proof-of-concept deployments
- Act as a senior escalation point and turn recurring client problems into lasting fixes with internal teams
- Provide technical guidance during client calls and explain recommendations to scientists, bioinformaticians, IT, and DevOps teams
- Review and improve AI-generated Terraform, scripts, runbooks, and diagrams before release and support them afterward
Requirements:
- Strong expertise in at least one of AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Multi-cloud expertise is advantageous
- Exposure to HPC schedulers such as SLURM or Grid Engine is welcome
- Networking knowledge, including TLS and public/private certificate management
- IAM and access control expertise
- Ability to work within client security and compliance constraints
- Terraform is required
- Familiarity with CloudFormation, Pulumi, or Ansible is a bonus
- Docker and Kubernetes proficiency
- Helm experience is a strong plus
- Experience building and shipping tools used by others
- Python and Bash proficiency
- Testing, security scanning, and documentation practices
- Understanding of workflow engines running against remote compute, storage, and container runtimes
- Ability to conduct technical onboarding and pre-sales, elicit requirements, navigate ambiguity, and work credibly with scientists and DevOps engineers
- Self-directed research and knowledge sharing
- Life sciences, bioinformatics, or scientific computing background is a nice-to-have
- Technical pre-sales experience is a nice-to-have
- Nextflow experience is a nice-to-have
- Startup experience is a nice-to-have
- Application must include a public code repository link and a short narrative addressing ability, growth, and use of AI without relinquishing judgment
