Job Description

Technology Operations Director managing the NJ State Office of Innovation's technology platforms. Collaborating closely with leadership and overseeing a team to implement policies and security practices.

Responsibilities:

  • manage the Office of Innovation's technology platforms and systems
  • collaborate closely with Office of Innovation leadership
  • oversee a small team to design and implement comprehensive policies and processes
  • spearhead long-term technical operational projects
  • improve security practices and optimize the use of hardware and software
  • engage in strategic procurement decisions

Requirements:

  • minimum of 7 years of professional experience in technology operations and managing web applications and software-as-a-service platforms with a focus on security
  • at least 2 years of professional experience leading cloud-based IT platform administration
  • at least 1 year of professional experience in people management
  • demonstrable success solving complex and highly-ambiguous problems in bureaucratic settings
  • ability to work independently in a startup-like environment
  • skillful in driving projects forward while communicating and collaborating closely across teams
