Job Description

Training Coordinator managing training compliance and documentation for Texas law enforcement. Ensuring adherence to TCOLE standards and facilitating training activities remotely.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and schedule trainings
  • Create, monitor, and manage registration platform
  • Report attendance
  • Provide on-site administration support during trainings
  • Ensure all training activities comply with Texas Occupations Code, TCOLE rules, and Texas Administrative Code provisions
  • Monitor TCOLE rules to ensure timely implementation within HTI
  • Serve as subject-matter resource on TCOLE standards
  • Assign instructors in conjunction with the State Director
  • Verify instructor credentials, licenses, and eligibility to teach assigned courses
  • Enforce attendance standards, testing and evaluation integrity, and documentation requirements
  • Maintain training records
  • Create and disseminate training flyers to partner agencies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3 years’ experience as TCOLE Training Coordinator or working in a training department at a Texas law enforcement agency
  • Experience assisting an agency to become a TCOLE Training Provider, preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Proficient in Canva, preferred
  • TCOLE Basic Instructor Certificate or ability to obtain
