Job Description
GSK vaccines account manager building strategic healthcare-system partnerships across Kentucky. Driving vaccine access, immunization outcomes and portfolio sales through complex customer networks.
Responsibilities:
- Own B2B customer relationships in large and complex healthcare delivery networks, including health systems, State CDC Awardees, major health departments and FQHCs
- Serve as primary liaison with major customers and engage C/D-level clinical and non-clinical stakeholders
- Understand customer needs and priorities and deliver customized value propositions
- Build partnerships with large-organized customers and key decision-makers
- Identify customer objectives and develop customer-specific and area business plans
- Navigate organizational structures to advance vaccine access, formulary status, policies, protocols, stocking and pull-through
- Manage key accounts through business reviews, contract performance discussions, educational programs, customer meetings and medical conferences
- Achieve customer-specific volume, immunization-rate, market-share and annual sales targets
- Support contracting processes with Contracting Specialists
- Execute consultative selling processes to position vaccines as a leading intervention
- Coordinate VBU needs and objectives with Sales leadership and local Sales teams
- Support vaccination programs across channels, including retail pharmacy referrals, adjudication support and digital platforms
- Partner with Contracting Specialists, OPAS/HSDs, Medical Affairs, Marketing and Market Access
- Provide evidence-based clinical education on vaccine efficacy, safety profiles and administration protocols
- Stay current with CDC guidelines, medical society recommendations and health quality metrics
- Analyze account performance, market trends, competitive activity and formulary landscapes
- Provide market feedback on product positioning and pricing
- Maintain customer interaction and activity records in CRM systems
- Complete required training, certifications and compliance modules
- Ensure promotional activities comply with pharmaceutical regulations and company policies
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
- Previous vaccines sales experience
- Combined minimum of 5 years of Pharmaceutical Sales, Pharmaceutical Marketing, Payer and/or Business Development Experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Up to 40% travel required, based on specific district size
- Deep knowledge of contracting in the healthcare industry
- Expertise in the vaccines marketplace, GSK and competitive portfolios and customers
- Deep knowledge of the Health Systems business model, organizational structure, key stakeholder roles and decision-making processes
- Experience calling on C/D level within large, complex healthcare delivery networks
- Experience with lateral leadership in a highly matrixed organization
- Advanced business acumen and analytical skills
- Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills
- Ability to translate strategy to local-level business and strategic account plans
- US work context and compliance with applicable pharmaceutical regulations and company policies
