Job Description
Venture Capital Associate growing Pairs’ global network of direct investors. Matching family offices, angels, and institutions with vetted private-company opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Grow the network of investors who invest directly in private companies
- Manage investor relationships over time
- Bring in investors who back companies directly and match them with suitable opportunities
- Open new investor relationships every month with family offices, high-net-worth individuals, and angel investors
- Maintain current and qualified investor relationships
- Understand each investor's stage, check size, sector, and investment preferences
- Match relevant opportunities to investors
- Stay engaged and useful to investors between opportunities
- Work directly with the two co-founders and investor team
- Evaluate which investors are ready to commit capital
Requirements:
- Have built investor relationships personally and be able to explain how each one began
- Have taken at least one investor from a first conversation to a direct investment in a private round
- Understand investors' stage, check size, sector, and reasons for declining investments
- Treat discretion as second nature
- Do not include investor names in the application
- Use AI tools daily, with clear judgment about where they improve work and where they compromise quality
- Experience with family offices, high-net-worth individuals, angel investors, VCs, or institutional investors is relevant to the role
- Ability to work remotely and asynchronously
