Job Description
Vice President leading K–12 literacy curriculum product development for Supplemental, Assessment, and Intervention solutions. Managing editorial teams, strategy, budgets, and external partners.
Responsibilities:
- Provide overall product development leadership for the K–12 Literacy, Supplemental, Assessment, and Intervention portfolio
- Collaborate with Product Management/Marketing, Creative Design/UX, and Product Technology
- Develop innovative product models meeting teachers’ and students’ needs
- Drive product strategy and oversee planning, budgeting, and development for literacy projects
- Lead the editorial team through all stages of product development
- Ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and aligned with the original product vision
- Manage relationships with program authors, internal personnel, consultants, reviewers, and vendors
Requirements:
- 12+ years of experience in curriculum development and/or instructional development of instructional materials
- Experience effectively managing others
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Reading, Literacy, Elementary or Secondary Education, or a related field
- Previous teaching experience
- Knowledge about how children learn
- Willingness to travel occasionally as projects require
