Job Description
Executive role overseeing the Maritime business area at AMERICAN SYSTEMS. Focus on financial performance, customer satisfaction, and organizational leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Own full business area financial performance, including revenue, profit, cash flow, and indirect spending
- Develop and execute annual goal plans aligned to corporate objectives
- Drive margin improvement and operational efficiency
- Serve as the executive relationship owner for key customers within the business area
- Drive organic growth within existing customer accounts
- Ensure successful execution of all programs within the business area
- Build and develop a high-performing leadership team
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree and at least 10+ years of experience running multiple projects and US Navy Programs within a DoD environment
- Hands-on experience with key US Navy organizations (e.g., NAVSEA, Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division Newport, Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Division Carderock, PEO IWS.) and advanced technology domains
- Proven DoD business leadership experience, including business finance, profit and loss management, and business growth
- Demonstrated success in business development, including capture, proposal development, and winning new work
- Strong track record building and managing high-performing, technical, and geographically dispersed teams
- Ability to work collaboratively with executive and senior leadership, effectively communicate at all levels, and mentor emerging leaders
- Excellent client management, business partnership, and relationship-building skills
- Experience interpreting and applying government/industry standards, laws, and corporate policies to program execution
- TS/SCI security clearance required
