Job Description
VP of Engineering Staffing responsible for driving revenue growth and managing a high-performing team at Onward Search. Partnering with sales and recruiting to deliver exceptional client outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Own the overall performance of the Engineering Staffing practice, including revenue, delivery, and team effectiveness
- Drive growth through close partnership with business development and sales leadership on key accounts and opportunities
- Support client-facing strategy by participating in discovery, solution design, pricing, and staffing recommendations
- Lead and mentor recruiting and account teams to ensure consistent delivery quality and candidate control
- Establish and monitor KPIs related to pipeline health, fill ratios, client satisfaction, and recruiter productivity
- Oversee client relationships as an escalation point and ensure successful execution across engagements
- Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts through multi-role, multi-team, or long-term staffing solutions
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Finance, and HR to support operational efficiency and scale
- Stay current on engineering hiring trends, talent availability, and client demand to guide staffing strategy
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in engineering or technical staffing
- 3+ years in a leadership role
- Strong understanding of engineering talent markets (software, infrastructure, product, manufacturing, or related disciplines)
- Experience leading recruiting and delivery teams in a KPI-driven environment
- Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with sales on complex or high-value client needs
- Bachelor’s degree required.
