Job Description

Fully remote Account Executive selling Ethicon wound-closure technologies to Connecticut hospitals and surgeons. Managing territory accounts, operating-room demonstrations, sales presentations, and clinical customer education.

Responsibilities:

  • Grow the healing/Wound Closure platform
  • Sell surgical solutions to surgeons and hospital decision makers, primarily in an operating room setting
  • Manage an assigned sales territory covering physicians and hospital institutions
  • Attain forecasts in assigned accounts and territory
  • Set priorities and make sound business decisions based on sales opportunities within accounts
  • Demonstrate proper product use to clinicians in the operating room
  • Manage customer questions and objections consistently with product indications and sales training methodology
  • Execute concise, professional, ethical, compliant, and persuasive sales cycles
  • Conduct sales presentations using current selling methods
  • Analyze data and stay updated on market information
  • Perform business planning and identify sales opportunities within accounts
  • Build customer relationships with physicians, hospital personnel, and authorized distributors
  • Conduct customer education seminars as appropriate
  • Comply with safe-behavior standards and demonstrate product, procedure, and clinical knowledge

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1+ years of relevant business experience in medical sales (medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology) or healthcare, demonstrating exceptional achievement of sales objectives
  • A valid driver's license issued in the United States
  • Preferred: Sales performance, account targeting, daily action planning, and collaboration with peers, marketing, Strategic Account Managers, distributor representatives, and KOLs
  • Preferred: Strong time management and planning skills
  • Preferred: Hospital-based pharmaceutical or medical device experience, including operating room sales, and product sales to highly educated/high-profile customers
  • Preferred: Experience developing new, innovative markets
  • Preferred: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Preferred: Team oriented
