Job Description
Sales Account Manager for Univar Solutions building long-term relationships and expanding business in the Benelux region. Requires 3 years of relevant sales experience and multilingual skills.
Responsibilities:
- Improve Univar’s position within each account using consultative and in-depth selling at all levels within the account
- Ensure efficient execution of the sales targets
- Improve and implement the yearly business plan: schedule visits, services, and calls
- Close sales opportunities and build a reliable pipeline by spotting chances
- Start, establish and carry out sales projects, participate in conferences and marketing events
- Prospect for new business by conducting sales calls to actively grow the size of the territory
- Focus on customer retention and overall customer satisfaction
- Provide customer technical support and consultant services to increase our overall value to the customer
- Maintain a clear, updated view of your sales pipeline
- Use reporting tools as the need arises
- Set pricing and service levels, maintain and coordinate customer quotations, or provide necessary information for local branches to do so
- Communicate and collaborate with other teams like, product management, technical staff, and other departments, to ensure customer satisfaction
- Demonstrate commitment to safety, both personal and of your colleagues.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of sales experience managing accounts in the Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants and Elastomers (raw chemicals) or Performance Materials industry
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred, or equivalent experience
- Ability to cultivate an extensive network of contacts
- Deep understanding of business, financials, products/services, the market or the needs/challenges of assigned accounts
- Strong communication skills and the ability to develop strong, successful business relationships with customers and internal teammates
- Excellent digital literacy, including MS Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint as well as CRM platforms such as Salesforce.com
- Strong business acumen, including an understanding of the business relationship between manufacturers, distributors, and end-users
- Effective negotiation skills
- Ability to travel within the assigned territory
- Driver´s license required
- Fluent in English, Dutch/Flemish and French.
