Job Description
Accounting Implementation Specialist deploying QBO-centered systems for trades and construction clients. Leading discovery, configuration, go-live, training, and optimization across enterprise implementations.
Responsibilities:
- Architect, deliver, and enable software implementations for trades and construction clients
- Own the full implementation lifecycle from discovery and solution design through configuration, go-live, and optimization
- Gather business requirements and create design documents, walkthrough documents, workflow diagrams, and solution specifications
- Perform product implementation and deliver customer enablement training
- Manage multiple enterprise implementations from inception through go-live, coordinating with project managers and business analysts
- Develop solution visions that address customer business pains and support end users and field teams
- Facilitate discovery workshops and present software and workflow options
- Advise customers on chart of accounts, job costing, WIP, progress billing, and period-end close best practices
- Troubleshoot issues, refine configurations, and evolve solutions as customer businesses grow
- Collaborate with owners, CFOs, controllers, field operations teams, and other client stakeholders
- Demonstrate customized QBO-centered solutions against customer goals
- Help teammates build solutions using the full suite of company services
- Contribute to delivery processes, templates, and enablement materials to improve efficiency, quality, and customer experience
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience implementing, configuring, or administering QuickBooks Online, ideally for trades, construction, or project-based businesses
- Strong accounting foundation (US GAAP), including accrual accounting, job costing, WIP, percentage-of-completion, AR/AP, payroll, sales tax, and month-end close
- Hands-on experience with JobTread, Knowify, ServiceTitan, Procore, CompanyCam, Bill.com, Ramp, Gusto, and Melio
- Demonstrated success leading multiple concurrent enterprise implementations end-to-end, on time, in scope, and on budget
- Ability to produce design documents, workflow diagrams, and configuration specifications translating business requirements into a working system
- Excellent facilitation and presentation skills; able to lead discovery workshops and present solutions to owners, controllers, and operational leaders
- Self-directed, highly organized, and comfortable managing a book of client engagements fully remotely
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience
- QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor certification (Advanced preferred) — nice-to-have
- CPA, CMA, or active progress toward certification — nice-to-have
- Prior experience at an accounting firm, fractional CFO/controller practice, or implementation/consulting team serving construction or trades — nice-to-have
- Experience integrating field-operations tools with QBO — nice-to-have
- Experience with data migrations into QBO — nice-to-have
- Monday-Friday availability, 8am-5pm US Pacific Standard Time
- Currently residing in the Philippines and legally authorized to work there
- Reliable computer, high-speed internet, and quiet, dedicated workspace for remote work
