Job Description

Application Implementation Project Manager leading Parkinson Canada’s NetSuite ERP implementation. Coordinating internal teams, vendors, budgets, risks, testing, and go-live readiness.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the organization’s internal activities for the implementation of NetSuite
  • Own the internal project plan and coordinate dependencies and activities across departments
  • Monitor the project budget and timeline
  • Provide clear reporting on progress, risks, issues, and decisions
  • Identify risks, facilitate resolution of project issues, and escalate matters requiring leadership attention
  • Develop and maintain the internal implementation work plan with the implementation partner’s project manager
  • Coordinate internal participation in requirements gathering, process walkthroughs, configuration reviews, validation activities, and business decision-making
  • Maintain project governance records, including schedules, budgets, risk and issue logs, decision logs, defect logs, change request logs, action trackers, testing dashboards, and status reports
  • Document and track business, technical, scope, configuration, data, and implementation decisions
  • Coordinate internal and third-party resources for integrations, data exchanges, licensing, access, security, privacy, and other technical dependencies
  • Monitor training, process documentation, end-user materials, communications, change-management activities, and operational readiness
  • Coordinate cutover and go-live readiness activities, including approvals, data validation, testing sign-offs, user preparation, support arrangements, rollback considerations, and contingency plans
  • Support transition from implementation to operational ownership, including documentation, issue management, post-go-live stabilization, support arrangements, and handover
  • Review risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, overdue decisions, resource constraints, quality concerns, and potential scope, schedule, or budget impacts
  • Monitor implementation partner performance and deliverables and coordinate resolution of variances
  • Provide regular project updates to sponsors and stakeholders
  • Participate in Parkinson Canada’s EOS operating framework, including meeting rhythms, quarterly priorities, and defined role accountabilities
  • Collaborate with business leaders, project team members, subject-matter experts, Finance, Operations, IT, and other departments
  • Facilitate communication between internal stakeholders and the implementation partner
  • Support organizational adoption and ongoing system ownership

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in business administration, finance, information systems, project management, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing system implementation, ERP, finance system, or enterprise application projects
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional project teams, external implementation partners, and business subject-matter experts
  • Strong understanding of project governance, risk and issue management, testing coordination, data migration, change management, and go-live readiness
  • Working knowledge of core finance and accounting processes, including general ledger, AP/AR, month-end close, reconciliation, financial reporting, and internal controls
  • Experience with reporting, integrations, security, privacy, or operational requirements
  • Project management certification or formal project management training considered an asset
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP system strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with chart of accounts, multi-entity/subsidiary structures, financial reporting, saved searches, and system configuration or customization
  • Experience managing external vendors and implementation partners against a statement of work, including deliverable acceptance and change orders
  • Experience managing project budgets, forecasting, tracking actuals, monitoring burn rate, managing variances, and re-forecasting
  • Experience leading organizational change management and user adoption for system implementations
  • Formal change-management certification such as Prosci/ADKAR considered an asset
  • Business analysis and process-mapping capability
  • Proficiency with project and portfolio management tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or Asana
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Familiarity with waterfall, agile, or hybrid project delivery methodologies applied to phased ERP implementations
